Do you have teeth that are chipped or cracked? Have your teeth become stained and discolored over time? These and other cosmetic dental flaws can make you feel self-conscious and embarrassed about your smile. We want to help you achieve a beautiful smile that you can show off with pride and confidence. To reach this goal, we offer several cosmetic dental services. Through high-quality cosmetic dentistry we can improve the appearance of your smile for a look you will love.

Porcelain Veneers - Cosmetic Dentistry

Dental veneers are a versatile, effective way to help your smile look its best. They are thin shells, usually made of porcelain or resin, that are custom created and shaped in a high-quality dental laboratory. Our dentists then bond these to the front of your teeth to give your smile a beautiful, uniform appearance. Because dental veneers are made of tooth-colored materials like porcelain and resin, they blend in beautifully with the natural appearance of your smile; no one will even notice you have veneers! We will help you select a shade of porcelain or resin that is natural yet radiant. We may suggest resin or porcelain veneers to enhance your smile by:

  • Correcting slightly crooked teeth
  • Improving the look of misshapen teeth
  • Whitening severe staining and discoloration on teeth
  • Closing unwanted spaces and gaps between teeth
  • Repairing broken, chipped, cracked, or worn teeth
  • Correcting teeth that are too small or too large

Porcelain Veneers: What is the Process?

Porcelain veneers usually necessitate two visits to the dentist. Three crucial steps are done during the initial visit. To begin, your teeth will be prepared for a veneer, which will entail cutting a piece of the tooth to allow the veneer to be cemented on top. Second, an impression of your tooth is obtained, which will be submitted to a laboratory for veneer preparation. Finally, depending on how much of your tooth structure was removed, you may be given a temporary veneer. While the permanent veneer is being manufactured in the laboratory, this temporary veneer will preserve your tooth.

If you had a temporary veneer, it will be removed at the second appointment. The new veneer will then be tested to see if it fits properly after it arrives from the laboratory. Because it's ideal not to make changes to porcelain veneers after they've been bonded to your teeth, any necessary changes will be made before they're bonded. The veneer will be attached to your tooth once you and your dentist are satisfied with its appearance and feel.
